  • Stubid newbie question

I have yet to buy a aatv. I'm leaning towards a Max IV.
The problem I'm having is that I live in southern California and cant just go down to the local dealer to sit in one or test drive one. Here's the stupid question. I am 6'2" tall ...... am i going to fit ???
Its hard to tell how tall everyone is in the videos...

Welcome to help a newbie day.....
thanks in advance for any help.

its not a stupid question I can see why you would be concerned some of these are a really tight fit for some people an example would be my GIP-SEA 6x6 its pretty small way smaller than my ATTEX I had to do some fabrication in there so I could be comfortable with a passenger in it with me. in my opinion I would say the Max IV would work and one thing about them is they are a four seater if its still too small you can move the front seat back this will require a little fabrication and it will make the space behind the front seat a little smaller. before you buy one find some members around you I am sure they would be happy to let you sit in one and see what you feel comfortable in. and if you cant find members around you just keep an eye out for an aatv they are around in paper and internet classifieds including our for sale section and see what you like just remember try before you buy there is nothing worse than paying alot of money for something you hate driving. Mike also just put an aatv buyers guide and check list in the general section in HOW-TO on the home page this should help out in knowing what to look for in an aatv I read through it and really recommend going through it there is alot of good stuff and things I never even thought about checking. I know how it feels when you are looking for an aatv you want to go for the first one you come across (well thats how I am anyway) take your time and make sure its the one you want. I hope this helps and good luck on finding your aatv I am sure you will have a blast with it

There used to be a dealer in Ramona, CA and I think another around San Bernadion. Unfortunately, maxatv's website only lists one near Redding now.

Chad, I am 6' 2" tall and while I do fit in a Max IV, it is not comfortable for me. My knees rub the dash too much. A max II is much better suited for a tall person but like Duke said, you can always move the set back in a Max IV for comfort. There are just four bolts that hold the seat frame to the main frame. You can easily relocate those if you need to.
