I am rebuilding some terra tigers and installing electric start JLO's in each. I am tearing out the floors and replacing them with marine grade plywood. I also intend to run conduit inside the floor to run the gas line through. There is not a whole lot of room in the Terra Tigers for a battery in front, but there is ample room to mount one in back. The only problem is that it will be sitting in close proximity to the gas tank. I would also run the battery wires though the conduit.
Is this inadvisable? Is there danger of fumes being ignited? I mean, I know there are odds of just about anything happening, so I guess I am asking HOW MUCH danger there is? Do other models have the gas tank and battery in close proximity? Are there additional precautions that can be taken (i.e. a battery cover, etc?
Thanks in advance as always.
