Where is the line between a rebuild and a restoration?

i've always considered a restoration to be putting a machine back to the way it was when it left the factory. a rebuild includes modifications... engine change, change body color... upgrades....A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

I like the term "resto-mod". They say this when they restore a muscle car, but upgrade/modify it with a modern fuel injected higher horsepower engine, better suspension, and/or modern tires and wheels. It still looks prett much factory, but it has the reliability and performance capabilities at or above the level of a new sports car. That's what I usually do with my 6 wheelers. Put in modern V-twin 4 stroke engines, upgrade the tires, wheels, and other components to modern ones. It still looks pretty much stock, but it performs much better.Originally posted by Brant View PostSee above."Looks like you have a problem with your 4 wheeler........you're missin' two wheels there"
