  • Suspension seat advice

Hello all! I think I am going to do the suspension tractor seat mod to my Max IV and just wanted to get some input. There are 2 seats I'm considering. The first is the tractor supply one that retails for $100. It has approximately 2 inches of travel and I know that a few people here have it on their machines. The other seat is out of northern tool. It's got 4.5 inches of travel, but it's also twice the cost at $199 plus shipping.

SO, the big question is which should I get? For those of you that use the tractor supply seat, have you found that it's plenty sufficient or do you wish it had more travel? Would you pay another $100 for the other one in hindsight? One thing is that the cheaper one has side support and the more expensive one does not. Here are links to the two seats:

Any input would be apprieciated! Thanks!

Well I bought the cheaper one. I found it at Dickey Bub for $84 and I couldn't pass it up. I also found out after assembling it that when you adjust the seat the more it tilts back the more travel it has. So with it set at a comfortable angle it has more like 3.5 to 4 inches of travel. Now I just need to mount it!
