tires and tubes

Hello All,
New to this 6x6 world but I recently got my Buff truck up and going....
Until I started lossing tires in the woody marshes. Found tubes in all 5 that debeaded. I am assuming there may be a problem with air leaking and the tubes were installed. Again assuming also that the tires sliped causing the tube to blow and ripped valve stem.... There is some sign of cracking in tires can I or should I retube and seal and bolt the tires to rim. They seem to be an old style bead lock not very high of a lock, but I feel the problem was the slipping of the tire on the rim?? Any help would be great... dont have the money for new wheels and tires and only seem to use it 3 or 4 times a year...........

I find that tubes, unless using a lot of psi, only keep air pressure away from the bead. They still come off the rim. You might try glueing the beads on. Do a search here for "permatex high tack". I glue my beads and then use Slime as a sealant. The High Tack will keep the tires from spinning on the wheels.

what about the cracking of the rubber just trail and error using the slime?? if I dont use tubes

You think try to do away with tubes if tires will hold air....glue to wheels

If the cracks are only on the outer layer I would be inclined to try no tubes. Also depends on if the rubber bead is damaged where it won't seal on the rim. I'll just suggest the glue, and you can experiment.

I'm using gutter sealant on my lawn mower bead to hold it on. I have not tried it on a 6x6 yet, but it's clear sticky and still flexible when it dries. It sounds like the perfect bead glue to me. I've used some Drummond America "Super Bulldog Grip" adhesive before with great luck, but the gutter seal from Lowes in the caulking tube looks to be about the same stuff.

Looks like I may have some trouble with bead seal. I tried a couple to see if they will hold air and they do.....but......One will leak if I push on side wall near bead and give up. I have not tried the bead seal yet just tested a couple to see. I think they will hold but am concerned about bead sealing and not giving up. Will glueing stop that seperation?? maybe add slime as well??May have to screw bead to wheel. I am sure I'm not the first to deal with this.

All good so far Glue (permatex high tack) holding so far. Reduced pressure to 5 psi and bounced my weight on side wall and the beads held.....Try them in the swamp next week. Thanks to all....
