Facts you should no about Motorcycle Chains!

Re-chaining doesn't have to drain your wallet.

I just installed on the front two axles of my Argo I/C 8x8 20' of DID 50-2R. I purchased it on eBay for only $89, which included shipping to me here in Alaska. Also on eBay, I purchased 20' of HKK 50-2 for my two rear axles. i paid $45 for that, shipping included. Completing the re-chain, I recently purchased on eBay 10' of Morse 40-2 for my two transmission to idler shaft drive chains. That ran me $30 with shipping, and I have plenty left over.

My total re-chain cost was only $164 for the ENTIRE machine! That's quality Japanese or USA made chain shipped to my door in ALASKA. I've seen Tsubaki 50-2 at 99 cents PER LINK! At that cost, my machine would have been over $600, and that's not even counting the cost of the 40-2 idler chains.

I'm not bragging, but I'm trying to show folks that you CAN outfit a complete 8x8 with high-quality chain in a very low-cost way if you know your brands, research the specs, and be a little patient. All of my deals came from surplus sellers on eBay, who just wanted the chain off their inventory. They knew what they had, but wanted to get rid of it FAST.

I hope this helps save folks some bucks. Remember, every dollar saved in maintenance goes right in the gas tank. Enjoy!
