          • Here's that Amphicat that was for sale on Craigslist (upstate NY) in action. Those tires won't last if he keeps driving and skid steering on the pavement like that.

            • Highlites of the Big Creek trail ride

Just in case you missed the other videos here are the Big Creek trail ride highlites.
Please notice how Lee's Argo grips and pulls when he is coming out of a steep mud hole. He rarely turned the tires. Those Mud bugs just grip where ever he goes. The only time he didn't make it out of a hole was when the Mud bugs were completely glazed over with soft mud and looked like gum balls. There is no video here of the really BAD HOLES BECAUSE WE WERE PUDDLE JUMPING FROM ONE HOLE TO THE NEXT TRYING NOT TO GET STUCK. Being with two other well set up machines gave us a lot of confidence to go into places we would normally leave alone.

              • Not a 6x6 but amphibous. Pretty cool I day. May not take hard offroad abuse like a 6x6/8x8 but cool.

                • That was a good one, Dan. I've never seen Dave use that much throttle or drive that hard

For everyone's FYI, you can download these vids to your hard drive and keep them or put them on a disc and mail to your friends who don't have broad band, etc. Dial up users can download them over night and watch them with morning coffee.

                  How to:

click on the yellow title line, it'll take you to youtube. copy the url address from there. OR you can get the url from 6x6world's video window by clicking in the lower right corner's up arrow, etc.

Once you have the url, go to KeepVid: Download and save any video from Youtube, Dailymotion, Metacafe, iFilm and more! and enter the url there. It will show what downloads are available. This is what is showed for Dan's vid.
                  ------------------
                  ›› Download ‹‹ (video.flv - Low Quality 320x240)
Right-click download link, choose 'Save Link As...', and rename file to video.flv

                  ›› Download ‹‹ (video.flv - High Quality 640x480)
Right-click download link, choose 'Save Link As...', and rename file to video.flv

                  ›› Download ‹‹ (video.mp4 - High Quality 480x360)
Right-click download link, choose 'Save Link As...', and rename file to video.mp4
                  -------------------

While you're at keepvid's site, you need a free software player for the flv and mp4 files. You can drag and drop a downloaded vid into the player's window.

Edit: I downloaded both of the HQ vids. The MP4 version, although a little smaller in native resolution, looks good and is nearly 1/2 the file size (35 megs) compared to the HQ FLV at 60 megs. The player will let you run either one at different window sizes.

                  • LarryW,

This may not be a 6x6, but it sure is fast out of the water , and also in the water too! I called HydroTraxx one time ,and they told me that the fastest water speed that they had ever recorded was with fenders over the tires. The Little Critter 4x4 ( before it went out of production ) also had fenders over its tires, and it also had impressive water speed too.

                      Roger,,

That is correct. Until I went to Mud Creek , atv park , to meet up with Dan and Lee, I,ve never ever driven my Max IV this hard ,or have used this much throttle to drive through places that both of them told me I could,nt make it. If I,d thought to bring a zip tie, I would,nt have gotten stuck in the places that I tried to push myself out of

Micmac and I tweaked on the Warthog for a while Tuesday and took some vids. 'Looks like it's almost ready for Philipsburg. Hey, no exploding belts!

                            • Too Funny Don! I laughed so hard at my Maiden voyage blooper. I was still laughing on my drive home. It always helps when its in gear, remember that kids. I think I have to replace some of Don's house windows after that tire spin.

Don I can't thank you and the Boys enough for all the help on this machine. I only wish I had more time and some open area to give it a proper shake out today. I guess the final testing will be a Phillipsburg. See you there

                              • Very Cool guys. Looks like it has some power to spin around like that. With that slit shift and that power it sure does great donuts. It sounds good.

Glad you got the belt problem all fixed up, too.

Good luck at Phillipsburg with it Mike.
