      • I appologize for the poor resolution of the video,s that I recently posted . I,m now learning how to post my own video,s from my Flip Ultra camcorder that I recently bought . The Flip video camcorder has default setting for Utube at 30 fps , 640 x 480 . This is now causing me problems with how long I can make my video,s , with out utube rejecting it , because the file size is too large . I have compressed and recompressed the video,s I recorded last weekend , and this is probably why my video,s look so bad

        • Yep, that is butt ugly, Dave.

Just kidding (Dave and I discuss this stuff for hours)

                • [QUOTE=whipper-ag;17002]Who's this Eddie Guy? You need to get him out of the house more often. You got some pretty nice places to ride. I'd love to see you crank it up a knotch when you're on dry land. The trails are pretty wide. If you push Eddie out, then you can take it up 2 knotches.
                  Seriously, we liked the videos.

                  Whipper ,

I drive really slow most of the time , because the trails I like to make are too tight and too technical to ride any other way , with out tearing up your amphib . When ever Eddie rides with me , I am even more careful how I drive , and what I drive over , because Eddie has serious low back problems , and I don,t want to cut our riding short . Even as slow as I was driving on the video,s I posted , Eddie,s lower back was hurting , so we had to head back to the trailor after about 2 hours of riding .

                  • I rode Sunday, below the Dam at Grand Lake, here in Oklahoma. It's corp of engineers land and a legal OHV park. No rules, no fees. There is a privately owned camping area right next to the riding area, you can ride atv direct from camp to trails. There are also camp and RV facilities close by on the lake, but have to trailer the atv's across the highway. It would be a good place to have a group ride, it's in the N.E. corner of Oklahoma.

The parking lot is seperated from the main riding area by a "stream" you cross. Rather a valley that acts as a spillway when excess water is released from the lake. Normally it's bare limestone washed from erosion with a mild running stream of clear water. This weekend it was a whitewater torrent that couldn't be crossed. Well, not at the usual spot, anyway I aatv'd down the shoreline till the river got a little wider and slower, thought long and hard about crossing it with tires that barely swim, then of course I went for it Ended up not as far downstream as I feared, and winched the Response up a steep 10ft enbankment to solid ground. Then I had the whole riding area to myself. I didn't get too carried away, being alone and isolated, but had fun.

Then I crossed the river and made my way back to the truck. I had my little ATC2K helmetcam, and just stuck it in my mouth to film. Kind of like going to the dentist and having to hold your mouth open for a long time. I shot in low res as the frame rate gets choppy and the video gets wavy at 640x480. So here is a youtube link. I don't want to post the normal windowed link, as the low res version isn't good enough to watch. Copy and paste this in your browser's address line and take the extra space out between the w and the period.

                    • Here's another short one I had for a while, this little ATC2000 cam. It has a waterproof mic, the cam is waterproof to 10 ft, but the sound is lousy (8 bit) no matter what. I took the cover off the mic which increases it's sensitivity to where you can at least hear voices, but loses waterproof ability. The cam is shock resistant and pretty durable, I think I could drive over it, press it in the mud, rinse it off and go. As a real cam I don't recommend it, it's tech is a few years old now. Marketed as a kids helmet cam. Inexpensive and disposable/expendable, yes. Maybe a surveilance cam.

                            • Since you guys like that noise, here's another short one for ya. Back before I built a glasspack into the exhaust pipe. I'm ready for a quiet vehicle but still a good header with it, wondering how to fit it all under the hood.

This place is the creek bed where the raging river is, in the above post where you have to cut and paste.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"
