  • 6 Wheelers at a tractor pull!

Here's a Max II (20HP Kohler) and a Max IV (18HP Briggs) at a small tractor pull. I must say, I've always wondered what these machines could do in this situation and after seeing these videos I'm really impressed! In the description of the video it says the Max II pulled the sled 160ft and the Max IV pulled 192ft (which sounds like it had set the record for the day). I think the Max IV outpulled the II (it even had 2 HP less than the Max II) because it's heavier and the driver sits way farther up front over the top of the wheels so all the wheels had better contact with the ground since the front end couldn't come up as much as the Max II. Both machines never bogged down or lost power, rather all 6 wheels started spinning and they simply lost traction. Watch the videos, these machines are beasts! I wonder what an 8x8, a machine on some super wide aggressive tires, or a machine on tracks could do.

I really don't know too much about tractor pulling, but these two bone stock Max 6 wheelers significantly outpulled this super modified garden tractor with four, that's right, FOUR Briggs V-twin Vanguards on it that went 137 ft.

Jeff, that is rothrock and his cousin. He posted some statistics in this thread: http://www.6x6world.com/forums/max-a...ctor-pull.html

I didn't know that was a member from the site. Maybe some more of us should get together for one of these tractor pulls next summer and show folks what our machines are capable of. I just noticed that the thread was already posted......sorry about that. He mentioned in the other thread that 200ft is a full pull......I'd imagine that there'd be a good amount of machines that could do that.
