  • escargo track video

This video clip shows an argo 8x8 with the Escargo tracks . These tracks really look agressive with their deep treads . These tracks should be great in gumbo clay , and also puddining mud that glazes over most tires made for amphibs . They look like the swim a little too ?

    tracks

They sure look like they would work good and pretty simple to fix or repair. I think I watched every vid on their site.

      tracks that swim

I found a good website showing rubber tracks that really swim . I,m quite sure that tracks 16 " wide would be very hard to skid steer , and also , really put a drain on hp as well ! I watched all the video clip on this website,,and I would imagine a 6x6 or an 8x8 ,with these tracks installed ,could transverse terrain that would stop other 6x6,s and 8x8,s

On the website I posted , it shows an Argo Fronteer with 24" factory tires , with 16" tracks installed . An Argo Fronteer with this track system installed , over the facory 24 " tires , would be just about unstopable where ever it went . I got stuck a few times in "pudding mud" on the last ride I went on , and these tracks would have me pulled my Max IV right thrould it . But , I don,t know how much hp loss I would experience with out a really low gear ratio trans , like Argo has for tracked amphibs .

The cross treads are rounded on the end to make them steer easier according to thier website. I get a kick out of the guy in the videos and his comments. If I got tracks ,I think i would lean toward these as they good in muck swamp and snow..
