  • Insuring Max in Canada - Ontario

    Will be in ON later next week and I do not have insurance on the MAX II.

    Any ideas on who will insure these? My agent told me he can't get it figured out...I think he's just a lazy knob.

    Who is writing policies?

    in Quebec my MAX IV is insured by AIG like an ARGO but they specified NO WATER DAMAGE WILL BE PAID....

      I think there was a post about this very topic a while ago. I do not have mine registered or insured. It was my understanding that it did not fit into any class of offroad vehicle. I did however want to make an attempt at being somewhat legal and put a "slow moving vehicle" triangle on it. It seemed to fit that class of vehicle best due to the low speed. If you register it as a boat you would not have to pay taxes, not sure how that would fly with the authorities though, lol.

      I did what the guy from Ignace did. Only a few hundred km's from him so figured the same rules apply here

        i just got mine insured through primmum.since its a 1983 i could only get liability insurance.$168.00 a year.thought that was ok since my sled is 150 bux for liability only.
