I think the record is something like 65mph, using a JLO (yeah, the old 'jello') engine and half-clipped trans brake bands. Up and down an old runway.

I'll take a miss on that, thanks. 45 was scary enough with the Kaw 440.

Speaking of the GPS...I had my daughter hold ours in the Big Max after a 440 cuyuna install with a VM34 mikuni.......got it upto 45mph with the two of us in the there on 21 inch Goodyears, haha......scary on the slow down but much fun!!!! Now just trying to convince my daughter to race it in Ashtabula! Will post pics later.

I would say that was probably close to being accurate. I did the same thing as you with my brother-in-law's four wheeler and then looked down at my GPS and the four wheeler said we were going 46mph while the GPS said 41. So there is probably some inaccuracy with the speedometer but it shouldn't be more than 3-4mph.

It would be cool to make a double sprocket that can just slide over and go from a high to a low gearing with just replacing a pin and maybe swap out a chain. Or if you could find a huge driven pulley to up the low end gearing but match it up with a huge drive pulley to bring some more high end to. That would be cool!

not a chance!. The really cool thing with the stock LOW gearing is that I can now accelerate all the way up a hill, that the old flat twin would hardly get to the top of. hopefully now I can spin the big tires fast enough to shed some mud and keep the machine moving through.

Quite respectful, considering those sprockets are large enough to serve a 12 pound pork loin. Your next challenge is to drop the tooth count by about 6 and see if you can hit 40.

with around double the HP, and 1.5X the RPM's, I managed to get the bigfoot up to a BLISTERING fast 22.52 MPH today!

Pffft, show off. I think that was one of the first videos you posted wasn't it? I had forgotten just how fast it went.

Wfo, that is moving. What kind of rpm are you turning with the hodge masterpiece?
im not sure what rpm, no tach..seems to be at around 6500 to 7000..and at those speeds
you really have to keep those sticks steady..very hard to do and not wipeout

I guess you better get off to the strip then. Not sure what class they would put you in, but it would be sweet to watch.
