  • Chain Tensioners

Hey everybody, I was going to be replacing the sliders on my Attex chain tensioners, and I was also going to put some sliders on the rear cross frame rails on my Hustler and thanks to boncrshr, I now have this great place to get teflon chain slider/tension products. Take a look......

Cool, that double sided free-floating tensioner on their home page looks interesting. Did you find any prices?

      Hey JP,

We must be on the same wavelength, I was calling around on these yesterday. I was having a hard time with Fastenal finding the right part #'s, but it looks like the correct chain tensioners will be around 50 bucks each....kinda steep, but I may pull the trigger on some. Since the hex head cap screws have almost eliminated my set screw problem, chain tension is now my #1 headache. If I could eliminate that, it would drastically shorten my pre-flight ritual.
      Hammers should have warning labels.

I didn't catch any of the prices for just the #50 teflon channel guides for the chain. It looked like it was just bulk material. Maybe I'll call them up sometime this week.

I was talking about the sandwich looking ones....if the bulk material is too much, we can just find some sacrificial cutting boards.

Cutting boards are what I use. Cheap and work very well.
