  • Dealing with the dealers

I was wondering how your experience has been when you went to purchase your aatv from your local dealer. Since there doesn't seem to be a lot of dealers out there in any one place I was wondering how quick they are to deal on a machine or is it pretty much list price you have to pay since the lack of dealers makes it hard to cross shop one against another? How about the options, did you have to buy from the dealer or could you purchase directly from the factory? Has anyone purchased an ARGO directly from the factory? How about delivery, did they charge you or was that included in the price? How about warranty work, did you have to bring your machine back to the dealership or did they come out and work on it at your place or transport it back to their place? Mike, it is great to have this forum to be able to ask these questions, thanks. And thanks to anyone who replies, I appreciate the information.

My experience with the dealer that I bought by Argo Bigfoot from has been great. To start with, he opened up on a Sunday for me to come and look at the machine. He was very knowledgeable of the machine and gave me a great price right off the bat. Then, the following weekend, he opened up for me again to pick the machine up. He has always returned my calls promptly and answered any questions that I might have had. He has been a pleasure to deal with and I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to purchase a machine.

McCoy, I think we used the same dealer! I drove up from SC to look at my machine on a Sunday, and again the fallowing Sunday to actually purchase it! He is great, and I would also recomend him to anyone!

McCoy, thanks for responding, in your response you said you got a great price right off the bat, did you have to negotiate for it or did the dealer discount the price from the list price? I am curious as to whether the dealers actually can be haggled with or do they name their price. Does anybody know how much mark up is on a vehicle the way you can find out what a car dealer pays for a car and negotiate from that price upwards?
