  • rubber line stopper

Hi, I'm ready to put my synthetic rope on my winch. I saw somewhere ( don't remember where) that we can use a tennis ball as a line stopper. as anybody ever heard of that and how do I install it
    thank you

I bought one of these at Fleet Farm and cut it in half. Someone on here gave me the idea. Works good. [IMG][/IMG]

I would not use the tennis ball, Maybe if it were solid and not hollow. You do not want to risk gouging the aluminum fairlead, it will ruin your new cable. The place you bought your synthetic cable from should have the propper stopper and they should only be about 10 bucks.

Thank you for the advice. This is my 1st time with synthetic rope. I installed one on my hand winch for my boat trailer. Do I have to put it in very tight on the drum. When I had it on the trailer and put some pressure on the winch the rope tend to squeeze in dig in and gets hard to pull out.
any advice before I put the other one on my argo winch.
