my son and I were driving the interstate today when a motorhome pulling a toy hauler appeared in our lane...switching to the passing lane, the subject of ashtabula came up and that might be where they were headed...although they were wearing minnasota plates, southeast missouri would have been a bit too far south for them..also, they looked to be 70ish in age...I told him there were a lot of older folks in our sport and hobby because they were popular as I was a kid...his reply??? he was looking at an old fart, ( I often wonder how he made it to 11 years old this saturday)...now I have just turned 51 years old and would like for some other members to chime in with thier ages to let him know just how long some of us have been around these machines and this hobby. I am not looking to shame or embarrass anybody, just trying to let him know that you are only as old as you allow yourself to be....

I'm 14, I first drove an AATV when I was 3 years old, I was driving my grandfathers "brand new" (at the time) Argo 6x6 Vanguard, I was sitting on his lap, I still remember that day. So, I've been driving/around AATVs (Argos) for 11 years.
Haha, I now have 2 Argos of my own, and my grandfather and father have Argos, I love the sport.sigpic

I was racing by brother-in-laws Attex in 1972 and bought a used Crazy Colt in 1973. I don't think that makes me the old man of the group, but I'm in the top few percent (54).Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.
(6) Attex, a Hustler, a Super Swamp Fox, (2) Tricarts, (3) Tri-sports, a Sno-co trike, 3 Dunecycles, and a Starcraft! ...so far

I am going to be 44 in august-Bought my first 2 six wheelers this year-basket cases.I have enjoyed all of it.-Not to be negative I can understand how honda's 3 wheelers took over the atv market.I read one former scrambler factory employee explain that for every 1 hour of heavy use on a scrambler 4 hours of repair and maintenance are needed.I never would have stuck with the scrambler in my younger years but it seems that once I hit 40 patience and respect for the good things in life are worth ones time and effort.6x6's are awesome-love looking at the 6x6 racing pics in the gallery from the 70's
