Registering in MA?

Has anyone on this forum registered a 6x6 as an atv in MA? I'm in western MA and see that there are 4 state parks with atv trails. You have to be registered, and the registry site mentions a 17 character VIN requirement which I don't think my Max II has. I've got an e-mail into the registry, but I'd like to know if anyone here has run those trails. If so, how are they for 6x6?

Hi Gerry, I'm not much help but when I got a title for my Max II I was told to just use my serial number as the VIN even though it was much shorter.

I just registered my avenger in new hampshire with tractor plates as well as OHRV sticker. At first they punched the vin # in and it rejected it. It wasn't in the data base as a tractor. So she called the state and they added argo to that data base and it went right through. So now I have a license plate for it so I can drive on roads.
