    Very interesting, the main downfall i see is the when i see most of us getting stuck, it is down is a rut with mud on either side. It would make it hard to put the winch on.
    l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

      Thats kind of cool. That anchoring system looks brute but that guy was really struggling to screw it in the ground. It would suck in rocky soil too.

        I think for certain trip, I could deal with the nuisance of 2" or so of extension premounted on the wheel. you could maybe do just first and second axle on an argo, with all the weight being in the front, and i think if you were wide at those axles, close to you, you would have the best chance of navigating without snagging something

          The probem I see is ruts where there is no room in the rut to use this device.

            I think all the problems listed by you guys would also be the same problems 4x4 trucking would have. I think this is meant as a low budget winch. Didnt really catch the price. But for us, you can go to harbor freight and buy a pretty decent winch for 40-50 bucks. Mount it up on your body seam somewhere and its up out of the mud/snow/ruts. Well most of the time.
