  • 6 Wheeler Shed

Tuff Shed was to deliver a 10x12 shed today for my garden tools, er, 6 wheeler. At least my wife believes it a very large garden shed. Anyway, the shed was complete and on closeout. Only draw back was the driver wouldn't back the trailer through a 10' 9" gate. I sent the shed back to the store and now am looking at my options.

Buy a tall 10x12 Tuff Shed and have it built on site or erect my own shed. I am very handy but limited with time. Has anyone lese built their own shed or bought a Tuff Shed. If so, was the 10x12 big enough? What size doors did you use? I am really looking at building a 10x14 but that will be hard to pass off as a garden shed. If I come clean then my wife will think the 6 wheelers need to go and use the money for a much smaller shed. As my father-in-law says, "it's a gibbonian thing."

I had the driver drop mine at the side gate. He was scared of hitting the overhang on the house. I pulled the Jeep into the back yard, and used the winch to just pull it to the location i wanted. If you are worried about the grass, just go to the local hardware store & get a few 10' peices of 4" pvc. You can use the pvc to roll the shed on! My shed is a 12x16, and it slid right on through the yard with minimal damage! I used double doors on the long wall. I have plenty of room to pull the argo in, and store gardening jumk on one side, and my tools & toolboxes on the other! It turned out to be an almost perfect size!

I built a 16x20 shed when my garage (and driveway) got too crowded. It will fit eight Max II or Attex size machines with no problem, and I put up shelves above them for parts and tires. Funny, but the driveway and the garage are still too crowded.
Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

      (6) Attex, a Hustler, a Super Swamp Fox, (2) Tricarts, (3) Tri-sports, a Sno-co trike, 3 Dunecycles, and a Starcraft! ...so far

If you're going to build one yourself, take a look at the plastic sheds. They are very easy to assemble.

If you are limited on time, just buy the shed you want. And just tell your wife how the cow ate the cabbage, and that you actually showed restraint by not buying the 20x24
