  • Different auction show another 6x6

Ok you all guessed it, I watch all the auction shows, and tonight on Storage Hunters a, spike channel show, they bought a unit with a 6x6 under a tarp in it. It was pretty obvious it was going to be an amphib under it, and it ended up being a scrambler. It was pretty nice looking and it was mentioned the bin belonged to a hollywood prop guy and could possibly be tied to the banana splits. First estimate was $3500, after it didnt start and a few scenes later they claimed at least $3000 for it.
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

Looks like they overpaid for that one.......take away one of the zeros and they might have got a deal for $300 or $350.

Many of those auctions are staged. My friend with the museum has been contacted by a few shows to come in with something and pretend to not know what it's worth. Sometimes they even stage the sales. A good portion of that stuff is not real.

Tv is real George. its like Santa Claus and the tooth fairy. stop trying to ruin my second err third childhood with these lies. besides if a broken down second gen attex is worth $12500 on eBay,why is it so hard to believe a non running scrambler is worth $3500 after a tv appearance. lol.

Maybe these overinflated prices on the machines will help raise the value of all our machines? If people see the crazy prices on tv & ebay they'll think it's all true. I quess it's like the old saying "don't believe the hype".
