x2 super winch slipping

Hello;
The x2 on my argo is slipping, any idea what the problem might be?
When you put a load on it then stop winching the winch will slip back a little and it has never done this before.

sounds like the load holding break? be carefull if it decideds to let go. You may also want to try and find the exploded view of the winch some where, maybe it just needs a new break assembly???

yah..id say its in the motor on that winch...and by looks of things...your further ahead to buy a new winch.

I just mounted and hooked mine up for the first time last week. not happy with it. Seems to slip and not engage the way it should right out of the box. Have not had time to check into the problem yet, but if its not going to be reliable, the scrap pile it goes.
