  • General 6x6 / 8x8 Information

I live on a farm in South-central Ky. mountains, with various makes & models on the market, to help distribute feed, water, straw, hay, ect. - - What is the best canidate? Right now, I am looking toward the Buffalo, but asking you all with more experience.

The best all around candidate would be an 8x8, the Argo HDI is probably the biggest bang for the buck. Its strong, well built, maneuverable, and will take you places you never dreamed of going.

If money is a concern, then pick up a lightly-used Buffalo Truck. The bed will make all the chores you're looking to perform with the machine all the more easier. Better still if you get a newer Buffalo that has the tilting/dump bed option. They're everything a regular 6x6/8x8 is, plus they're a dump truck, too. (It also helps sell the purchase to the "other half" when you brag up the utility aspect - the fun-buggy stuff is just a sweet icing on the cake. LOL
