When I got my AATV. The winch is mounted in the front. I was wondering. Since its when we enter an area traveling forward and get stuck. Wouldnt it be advisable to mount the winch at the rear?

Some people have mounted them front and rear. Others have put them on quick connect mounts/elec connectors, so they can be moved.
I usually pick a spot to drive thru that has a winch anchor point (tree) within cable reach. I also carry extra straps....I once was within cable length of a tree, but it was too large to have the cable go around. OOOPS
Trebmaster carries a fold up anchor to hook to a rope/cable and toss to dry land....good idea if you are looking at climbing out of the machine into waist deep mud.
