  • Dolly for my Attex

Well, I have started working on my 300D and, until I get my garage built, I have limited space to use in my parents garage for the project. As a result, I decided to build a dolly so that, until I get my balloons to stop leaking air after a couple of days, I can move my attex without having to fill every tire when I move it

I don't have any regular automotive 'under the tire' dollies, so I went to ace hardware and bought 4 heavy duty 360 degree casters and built my own dolly, which works fantastic!

Has anybody else ever done something similar to this? I figured I'd post it to see for the heck of it

Pretty much everytime i'm at lowes or menards i buy a wheel and by the time i've got 4 of them i usually have enough scrap wood to build one. Threw OSB on top of a few. Very useful, engines, trannys, snow thrower for the lawn tractor, amphicats, etc... Cheap and easy..... (you can finish the rest of the sentence).

I finally made one last year, it really helps with maintenance and storage. Mine is set up to use with the tires on. This really helps keep the flotations from flat spotting.

Keeping the flotations from flat spotting was my main motivation behind building this. I have spent a little bit of money in acquiring a full, decent set of them so it was painful to walk out to the garage in the morning and see them all sitting with hardly any air in them
