Knife How does 1 cold steel 2 handed Panga, 1 cold steel 17" Kukri, 1 bush axe(to quote Carl "some folks call it a kaiser blade, I call it a sling blade" a Gerber 2 1/2" locker, a 26" customized Collins machete, a Leatherman AND a stanley folding box cutter sound, and they will ALL shave the hair off my arm. And I didn't even mention any of the limb loppers. But hey, I AM the brushcutter ya know...

But I still carry a .22 pistol with me for those "hard to reach" snakes

ya I know but I am not really into killing anything, but I like shooting and when camping, its usually in the evening sitting around the fire .its fun with the laser site. I also would keep my gun in a case water is not good for the gun I use, but I want to make some kind of mount so it has its place. Also it dosnt hurt to make some noise around camp before bed. If you look at the map my city prince Albert is the last city before the great white north. We have over 100000 lakes and rivers here. Lots of wildlife 2 and four legged lol.

A nice in the cab out of weather rifle rack for deer season would be nice. One that is out of the way so as not to hit your head on .Out of season a simple Sig P229 fits nice on the belt. I have been playing around with ideas for a gun mount in the cab ,my racks hang the gun up right,I like the sideways mount much more. Where would I find these? I will use my old ones to mount an 8 foot boat ore to the side of Six just incase.

I'll just chime in on the gun-rack itself topic. I don't carry anything when I'm riding (I barely make time to ride, let alone find a reason to strap on the old Winchester), but I really like the look of the Hustler factory gun rack. I'm just tall enough that it doesn't get in my line of sight.



I do use the rack to hold my ultimate weapon, though. -My vintage Schlitz bottle opener. Most obstacles, dangerous wildlife, and general bad feelings seem to go bye-bye when I pull it out.

Always a good thing to have for much needed protection!!(the bottle opener that is)

Smog a few years ago you may have heard,.. a local man in Ellenburg who worked at NAPA and drove school bus. Well he also was a caretaker for our neighbor hunting club.He was about 2 1/2 miles in the bush at the camp where he was working the ground for food plots . A freek of nature who wandered across the Border stumbling upon the camp ,broke in and found a high power rifle,..shot the local(who we all new well) in the back DEAD! Then proceeded to drag his body deeper into the woods and four days later was arrested on the Mexico Border for double homicide in Canada and for the shooting death in Ellenburg. I have also ran across some weirdos in the bush,one was steeling his child over the Border into CA through 5 miles of wood and swamp,he had a stolen car and stolen plates on the car. Hard telling not knowing how people on the run can act or what they might do. So for the sake of self protection from the lions,tigers and bears.....or maybe just coy dogs ,I will carry always for that one situation in the Woods like I mentioned above.

I shot a Bear that charged out of the bush at me, he came to a rolling stop right at my feet, just about knocked me over. Also shot a couple wolves that took a a run at my kids (fortunatly a friends wife managed to pitch the kids into a truck while buddy and my dog distracted the wolves........at less than 20' from the truck). In all my yrs in the bush, these were the only 2 cases where I felt it was necessary to kill in defence, so my thoughts on the mattere go like this. "It's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it".

Apparently there are several makes of .410 hand guns. Some shoot nothing but .410, others a mix of .45 & .410. I don't know how many others are revolvers, tho.

I have something very similar to this in my top. I don't use it. Too far from any center of rotation so it sees a lot of extreme motion.

Seems to me the nature of the machines we own takes us out past the limits of a timely 911 response time. =)

Also they seem to cater to the likes of independent, handy adventurer types (just guessing). It seems to go hand in hand that with self reliance comes self preservation.
I am thinking that the shotgun will go strapped under the rollcage roof from end to end of the Max. I also have a nice little long range pistol good for 150 yds with stopping power (Kel Tec plr-16 .223!) that is scaled just right for these machines. Plastic with a 30 rd clip and fits in a laptop bag if needed. IMHO

I don't drink that screech stuff....we keep it to screech in mainlanders...Get them drunk enough to kiss a codfish (now with little fish try to get them to kiss a puffin's ass) and then make a fool of themselves by doing some kind of jig....makes for quite the site.

I on the other hand am fond of my crown royal....if you are going to drink then drink the good stuff....lol

The only time I carry a firearm is during season if I intend on hunting that day.....

Good hunting out west....I loved the hunting in SK when I was there....Lived in Hanley for 2 years.....worked at camp Dundun...

Most times here I do not carry as much as a knife.....never felt the need to carry much....only have a few coyotes as of late and the odd black bear. The odd moose and a lynx here and there...not to much to worry about in my opinion.....

The Taurus Judge is a nice piece, it's the first time I hear about a .410 handgun !
