Absolutely the coolest! I need to thank you, Robio- I saw the first half of the race 40 years ago and never did catch the second half until now!
Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.
(6) Attex, a Hustler, a Super Swamp Fox, (2) Tricarts, (3) Tri-sports, a Sno-co trike, 3 Dunecycles, and a Starcraft! ...so far

Great post!!! That certainly is one of the best races ever, right up there with Hydromike's 503/R and Don's McKay Racer (that I was so fortunate to see)."Looks like you have a problem with your 4 wheeler........you're missin' two wheels there"

Great ATV Race (60's)
I was talking with Robbie last night and mentioned the Banana split show that first got my attention to the ATV, but that was not what we called them. They were banana buggies.I actually had a chance to see one in a parade. They demonstrated the ability of it to run over a light bulb without breaking it.
I dont know if this was a special bulb or what, but it realy impressed me. Every kid i knew wanted one of these things, but noone knew what to call them but banana buggies
No internet, no cell phone and even prior to cb radios. The show was stupid but we watched each show for the chance to see the atv's running around.
I don't know what these are maybe someone can tell me. I have included a link to probably the best show of all. The banana race. Hope you guys like it, i know it is kinda dumb and ancient but at the time it was the bomb
How many people remember this?
Hope this link works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hA2mrugzhwg]YouTube - Banana Splits Buggy RaceLife should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"
