High output LEDs would be good idea since our machines don't have alternators that don't put out very much Amperage.

      Hi,

I have the Argo 750 HDI and i've just installed Grote Trilliant Cube lights in the front and rear, i went with a spot in the front and a flood in the rear and they work brilliant putting loads of white light on the trails.

A little pricey but well worth the money having alloy housings and weather connectors on the rear.

Grote lighting products are quality products however they are grossly over priced! Nice choice if someone does not mind spending that kind of money.

          good poor boy alternative: http://www.belarusagsupply.com/HID-L...hts_c_117.html

They have 55 watt and 35 watt lights, square and round, spot, flood and trapazoid. (about 125 dollars)

I LOVE the trapazoid beam! You can tell the color of the hide on a deer at 150 yard in pitch black but still throws enough flood light you can get up to 180 degrees of day light for 20 yards or so, good enough to walk off and read a news paper. when i get monied up, 4 off t the front, two off to the side and one behind. Bet i can still run them and the winch and be under 50 amps!

or if your crazy good ans smart, you could use the balast and light bulb and swap out the stock argo lights....

          Replacement HID Internals

(that is the balast for 25 bucks)

          Replacement HID Bulbs

          and the bulb for $15

i may even go down to walmart and buy a set of "driving lights" for 20 bucks and swap the bulbs and balast out. Think i can "build" a PAIR of HID lights for under 100 dollars???

I think it would be totaly cool to get a pair of super low amp draw lights to replace the whimpy factory ones that ar brighter by 4X and use half the amps for under 75 dollars!!!!

I agree with the rigid dually. I put a set on my argo in the spot beam pattern. They are more light than you need. they will light the way for 150+ yards. pretty much a plug and play set up just need to mount the lights and drill a hole for the switch. I think i paided 165.00 for them but well worth the money
