Anybody making any money using their ATAV?

I was just wondering if anybody is making any kind of money these days using their All Terrain Amphibious Vehicle (ATAV), I would think that would be a great way to pick up some spare cash. Excluding dealers, is anybody using their machine and getting paid for it? Things like transporting people to destinations that require the use of an ATAV or hauling material through areas that can only be traversed by an ATAV. Thanks in advance for your response.

I run a small gambling operation with my racer. I drive around the track as fast as I can or faster and my clients make various bets as to which wheel they think is going to break off if any and when. I get 10% of all bets placed. My youngest son (he's 2 but tough, real tough) is the bookie and the muscle in the stands. He gets 2% of my take. Hope that helps.

I had a bet with someone once about being able to get them out to a spot on thear property. i hauled the Argo 150 miles to his cabin up north and loaded him up. We proceeded to drive out to the spot he said i could not get to. he was very impressed with the machine but never paid me a dime on our bet. So the answer is no I am unable to make money with mine yet.

My friend has a 2000 Argo Bigfoot and does contract/sub contract work for the National Grid and EPA along with local state Fish and Game Department and town conservation groups by providing access for personal to remote locations along with taking his training and certification for taking both soil and water samples ... It makes getting to places a lot easier when you work for or have permission to be there from the beginning ....

I am a waterfowl hunting guide and while currently we don't guide goose hunts in fields, I am contemplating it and we use the argo for those hunts regularly.

I had inspected a pipeline for an oil company. I've seen lots of this. The terrain is muskeg, small swamps and creeks, Quads will not go there, and helicopters or planes are quite expensive. Also had a chance to do weed control and reseeding but I didn't have the time regular job was in the way. Seen a company use them for oil spill clean-up to haul in crews and pull out small trailers of wipe-ups, very dirty job, but the tires and tracks stayed lubricated.lol

The guy who had one of my KIDs before I acquired it used it to inspect pipelines and had a welder on the back powered by the PTO...Id image he made some pretty good money doing that.

I draw survey plans for Land Surveyors. On occasion, I'm asked to spend a day outside with my old '82 out in the field and drive people and equipment around on big jobs. I get around $300/day for the pleasure of bootin' around the countryside

We use ours on jobs all the time, field cuts, when we cut bushes pulling a vac sys for clean ups on beds and so on. Last year the fields were so wet mowers would get stuck in them, but with 6x6 Argo was no problem. Check out pic in gallery!
