new hustler

My son (he's 15)and I just got a hustler. It is a 4 seater. We traded some old stuff in the barn for this beauty. It is in need of tires and a trans. Is it the T20 trans that goes into this? If so, does any member have one for sale? This is probably my first post of many with respect to this project. From what I have read, there are many knowledgeable people on this forum, and I look forward to their expertise.

What model is it? Is it fiberglass or HDPE? Can you post pictures?

It looks like you've got a Hustler 880. Does it have the optional jet drive unit in the rear as well? I'm pretty sure a T-20 is what you need, but please take some pics of the cradle where the transmission mounts just so we can be sure. Pretty much every Hustler except for the very first ones made used the T-20. The very first ones used a jackshaft with clutchpacks and an Apex gear box. Looks like you've got a pretty nice machine there with lots of potential.

JP is right it is an 880...there are two of these here where I live that could be had dirt cheap...and by that I mean cheap...haven't seen 'em for a few months, but it should have the trans that you need and bookoos of extra parts...if you are interested I will go over and talk to the guy and see how cheap he will go on them now....where are you located?

It looks the same as the hustler I got yesterday. It does not have the jet drive.
