  • Bearing size

I have an 880. I need to replace the outer bearing and flange on the right side middle axle. What size bearing do I need? Also, besides needing a sealed bearing, is there anything special about the type of bearing I need to know? I think it is a 52mm od with a 1" id. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks in advance for the help.

You'll need triple lip sealed for the outer bearings. You might want to contact 6x6World member JoeMeg since he's restoring a Hustler 880 too.

Yep.The outer brg's on your Hustler are 52mm O.D. x 1" I.D. a UC205-16 or HC205-16 with the triple lip seal is what you want.
the HC have the eccentric locking collar, the UC have the set screws (I prefer the UC's)Good luck with your project,it's a pretty easy fix,let us know how you fare.

Thanks for the help. Does anyone know the best way to separate the sleeve from the axle. I cut the axle off between the outer bearing and the hub (it looked like the hub had broken off and the previous owner had half-a**ed welded it back on). It just seemed better to cut it off. Does anyone know a good place to get a new axle? Once again thanks for the quick answer to my other questions.
