Chain tightness

  • Chain tightness

    Not sure what thread this should go in

    Searched and didn't find much on hustler chain tightness. The chain running to the front wheels on one side is sitting on the tub. whats the proper tightness for them, I am going to go with the same tightness as on the other side, but want to make sure I get them right.

    Jack the machine up so that side of the machine is in the air. Then push down on the chain tensioner by hand (after you loosen it of course) and then tighten the tensioner down thus bringing the chain off the bottom of the tub and snugging it up. There should be just a very little bit of up and down movement of the chain and it shouldn't be hitting on the bottom of the tub.
