Needed an engine for my Hustler build.

Was talking to amphibiousdrew about a nice 340 CCW and he being the true friend he is starts telling me how he would like to see the machine it's in leave with it too. So, I try the old "I have enough already plus I don't have any where to keep it" line but he's way to savvy for that one and proceeds to tell me it's a little fiberglass 880 like the one I have now and has the recess for the jet pump also. So,I ask, what kind of shape is the upper in and he says it looks ok. I said, just ok,well put it this way, does it have holes from stuff screwed to it over the years, stuff still screwed to it,a hole burned through the rear saet backrest from a botched exhaust job on an engine swap and a chunk missing from the hood? He said no. Saturday I took my trailer to Drew's house and found room at my camp in Andover for this baby.

It was pouring rain all morning and I was pressed for time to return to Cleveland so I only had time to unload the Hustler and park and cover it. From what I did see it looks in much better shape than the first one. I'm going to the camp straight from work Monday to shop vac all the water and stuff out and give er a good once over in some nicer conditions.I will try and get info to add to the Hustler ID List thread too since this one appears to be very original.
This build isn't going to begin for while but I will post everything here.
Joe.
