Has any one ever tried the heavy duty chains???? At Farm & Fleet I can get a 10 foot #50 chain for around 12$ They also have a #50D chain for around 25$!! I compaired the two, D being a much beefier chain. Would I have enough clearance???? Is it worth the extra mony????

chains
a 530 and a #50 roller chain both fit the same spocket. All the measurements where the chains meet the spocket are the same. The difference is a 530 is a beefier heavier chain. A 530 O ring chain is even heavier with O ring seals on every link. #50 chains are normaly used in industrial applications.

Yeah, that looks like a 950 and someone put a Xenoah LC in it. The 340 and 440 were both popular engines and still fairly easy to get parts for. Either one should push the machine right along!Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.
