  • Hustler Parking Brake

OK everyone Im sure we all have bits and pieces of the parking brake assembly on our Hustlers and hopefully this thread can help us all find the parts that we are missing or help us fabricate them at least. I found a link to the company that makes the parking brake handle if anyone needs it. I dont know where I might be able to find a parking brake cable, but I do have one on my Hustler 980 but its broken. If anyone needs any help or pictures of my brake set up on my Hustler or has pics of their set up please post them up.

This guy named Randy has a couple pictures of his set up on his site, and he also has the parking brake lever pic, which is still available for sale by a company called, Orscheln.

Here are the links to his brake set up.

Ever have anymore thoughts on this? I think my parking brake is about to get completely removed. I'm considering using the lever assembly for a split shifter.

I think some folks with Hustlers said their machines are outfitted with split shifers, but I can't remember who they were offhand. Maybe Mudbug3 or sandcassle are the folks I'm thinking of.

both of mine have the split shifters..goodwrenche's has the single on his and is in the middle under the seat beside his e-brake (where my e-brake is..my shifters are on the left). other buddy's is split shifted and both are under the seat and he has no e-brake....I'm guessing several changes in the years and model differences....maybe thier designers had a taste of the funny stuff during engineering these beasts...

so, split shifter is left and right, forward and reverse, independently?
