Finally got it!

After months of waiting on my buddi to sell it to me he finally gave in. Only thing ive found is it sometimes doesnt engauge the righthand side when you engauge forward but if you neautralize it and put it back into gear it works fine, and it may need a battery but other than that I LOVE this thing!

Nice machine! I love the Hustler 6x6's and your Hustler 950 looks like it is in great shape. Is that the Briggs or the Kohler in there?

Yeah its actually in very great shape, its the 18hp briggs. pretty powerfull and runs like brand new.

Oh yea, the good old flat twin Briggs.....those motors have tons of torque!

Yes,,I,ve heard the exact same thing from the people who have the 18 flat briggs in their amphibs . They all speak well of those motors . The Hustler 950 you bought looks like some one took good care of it .

Hustlers are great machines to restore because they have a good solid frame and will accept 25 inch tires unlike other amphibs built in the 1970- 1980,s,. Combined with the right motor , gearing , and tires , they are VERY capable machines . I own a 2003 Max IV , and my friend boncrshr,s Hustler 950 goes just about any where I want to go at River Run Park , and some places I can,t not go too .

Thanks guys, i've noticed a few things that need attention but all in all its a awesome machine! My main thing lately is the belt slips when put under hard load and the intrusion of water. I've been thinking about changing springs and weights in the clutches also a new belt and finding all the leaks and fixing those.
