The boys and I had the day off, so we used the time this afternoon to bring in a little more firewood (15 degrees right now). There were too many machines to move in order to get the tractor out, so the next best thing was the old faithful Hustler. It doesn't seem to matter if there's the three of us and a load of wood going up the hill- it just keeps plugging.

Do you notice much power loss on that 18 hp , Briggs , when you,re running tracks?

I didn't know Hustler made a tracker that size? You seem to be doing well with those tracks Don. Looks great. and more fun than a tractor.

I did notice that the torque converter will shift down sooner when climbing a hill, I suppose because of the added drag on the wheels. It doesn't seem to have lost a lot of power otherwise.

Yes Lewis, it's lots more fun than a tractor! I noticed that it didn't take as much coaxing to get the boys out there to help, either.
