  • Hustler Newbie ?s

Kindda newbie I guess. I've had the machine for a few years but still don't know much about it. I've done a little routine maint/tunning up of the engine and opened up the trans once chasing a shifting problem. I hear about all these different models and I'm very curious which one I have for the sake of conversation and learning. Mine's greenish brown, 18hp twin Briggs I/C engine, I believe T20 trans with sprocket tensioners right at the trans and nylon ones elsewere, 26x12x12 tires, two very factory looking headlights, and a parking brake that I've never really had working. Any ideas? Thanks. Great site.

Welcome to the site! You have a Hustler 980 Bigfoot ....in my opinion, it is one of the best amphibious ATV's ever built! It looks like there have been quite a few Hustler 980 Bigfoots that have popped up recently on 6x6World.

I'm definately going to have to get some pictures up at some time. I don't think I have any on this computer right now. Any idea what years Bigfoot 980s were made in. Mine pretty much looks exactly like sixbysix4me's photos above.

Managed to talk my dad into emailing me some pics that he had. He didn't have a scanner so he took pics of pics and emailed em. I've got a great dad!
