I need 1" eccentric locking collar bearings. been searching like mad. My computer crashed and I lost all my bookmarks. I was all set to order them from a place that delt with hydraulics similar to surplus center. I can't remember, I'm sure I found it here too. searched two day's here and can't find it again.

Anyway here is what I'm thinking. What do you all think?

Bearings

I just replaced all 12 in my machine and got them from Buffalo Bearings.

Good news: the outers are very common and inexpensive. 52mm O.D.

Bad news: the inners are very uncommon and EXPENSIVE. 47mm O.D.
In these older Hustlers, they used a 47mm outer diameter bearing instead of the common 52mm o.d. bearing. You could get 52s but you will have to drill new holes in the middle frame rail and since they really aren't that much bigger the holes will be overlapping. After much thinking about it for a week, I ended up breaking down and buying the 47s. I have a few thoughts on how to do 52s if you're interested.

I didn't know the inners were smaller diameter. I'm building another frame from scratch so I'll only have two holes for the 52mm I guess. I wonder about clearance in the bottom of the tub now.

How is the buffalo bearing different from the CSA205-16? I've read about triple seals at the bearings? Is it worth the extra money for that?

I'm not sure about the clearance to the bottom of the tub and I don't have my frame back in yet so I'll know for sure next week (hopefully). Check out the pic I posted, it looks like there might be just enough room. I would make an effort to see what bearings you have as inners because it seems Hustler made many changes throughout the years and they could be different than mine.

As far as the bearings go, my outers are triple sealed. I definitely think it's worth the money to get triple sealed if you plan on being around any water. Buffalo Bearings gets bearings from different places, but all very good quality. They are really good people up there and can answer any questions you have. Jeff (jpswift) sent a bunch of us to them and I think we've all had good experiences. Thanks Jeff!

Oh, I am interested. I already have the 52mm bearings, just need the matching holders. A few of my 47mm holders are shot anyway.
What I noticed on my frame is that the bolt holes are just square slots from the main hole anyway.
