  • Basic Hustler service

I need help to get my Hustler running. I do not have time or space to tear down the machine completely but I want to change the fluids and check the feul/electrical line. For the t-20 and the Kohler engine, what kind of oil do I need and how much please. Or, do I really need to chnage the fluid in the eng/trans before getting the engine start and ruuning first. Thank you in advance for your help.

My hustler t20 has a tag stamped that says 1 qt of atf type A. I had mine rebuilt so I didn't personley changed it but the mechanic said a high quality atf will work fine. As for the engin the best place to start is a tune up (spark plug, new points, ext. I also use a lucas fuel addtive that keeps the upper engin cleaned and carb clean. good luck.

I got the engine running good. I soaked the carb in acetone, replaced fuel lines, coil, condensor, spark plug and wire. I bought the point but haven't put in yet. The problem i have now is all the connection around the carb. I have the service and owner manual but I need picture photo of what it looks like.
          Thanks,
