  • Should I buy it?

    Hi Everyone, Im new here.

I was searching Craigslist the other day and came across a Hustler for sale, Im not sure on the year or model number, the guy doesn't seem to know a whole lot about it. It has a chaparral G50B an aluminum roll bar that looks to have integrated tail lights, electric starter doesn't work, but pull does. However one of the controls fails to work in one direction, he fails to mention which, but i doubt it matters. My plan is to purchase it, fix it up ride it some and sell it to make some money off of it (if i dont become to attached), I am very mechanically inclined and can do all of the work on it myself. The question is, what do you guys think a good price for it would be? What could i likely sell it for if i get it cleaned up, and work all of the bugs out of it? What do you think would fix the drive issues and approx. cost for parts to do so?

    Thanks-Cody

    Hustler $$$

I got my 950 for free , although it had been sitting out in a field in the elements for 10+ years and did not run. I then proceded to spend over 2 grand on a restoration. Depending on the condition of the tub, frame, and drivetrain, I would say that one is worth $200-500. I could be wrong, I don't have alot of experience with these machines. I will say that when I rebuilt my t-20, I bought all the bearings, seals/gaskets, a full set of brake bands (4), and a ring gear drum, and it was over $800. These machines are worth it though, they're alot of fun. Good luck!!
