The factory tire size on all Hustler 880-950 models is 21x11x8. They are Goodyear Rawhides. If your Hustler is a HDPE plastic body (poly), not fiberglass you can clear up to 25" tires. I'd highly recommend getting some 25" Rawhide III tires. They swim, they are good in the mud, and they have a super soft ride. You can get a full set of six for less than $300 shipped to your door......that's a great deal! The only thing is that you'll have to buy a set of 9" wheels to fit them on because right now you have 8" wheels. Good luck with it.

JP the 25x12x9 Rawhide III fit the low Hustler body. I Doubt that the 11.50 will fit unless you get a wide rim. The 11.50 is about 2" taller than the 12 when mounted on the argo 9" rim.

Thanks for the heads up on that, Marc. I never knew the 25x11.50x9 were taller than the 25x12x9's. Excellent information to know. I think someone said there was a difference in the sidewall too, but I can't remember the details.

A garden tractor battery will work just fine.

My Hustler under seat battery box was sized for a air cooled VW Beetle battery.

It's nice having that extra space under the seat of the Hustler for a larger battery compared to other machines like the Max and Attex. I almost bought one of those Optima batteries for my Hustler 980 but I just couldn't see spending that much money on a battery for a machine that I don't use that much.

If you need bearings, contact Buffalo Bearing. The Hustler bearings are 1 3/16" inside diameter, 52mm outside, triple lip seal, with eccentric locking collar. Tell them that it is for a Hustler 6 wheeler and they'll know what you mean. They do tons of business with us 6x6World members and will know just what you need. 1 800-669-8019

I made a mistake on the dimmensions of the bearings. The outside diameter is 62mm. My appologies.
