micmac is right,i still have all the advantages of t-20.i've decided to change how i was going to use the sticks, instead of applying disk brakes when i pull back i'm going to pull back to extend hydraulic cylinder pushing spring loaded lower t-20 plunger in,for the wemon and children it will steer EXACTLY like any aatv w/t-20 and spring loaded sticks.only difference is instead of long metal mechanical linkage rods i'm using hydrolics to push lower plunger! great for the kids, and any one not good with manual clutch.dont think the kids would be able to feel when drive band fully disengaged but stop before engaging brake band and at same time push other stick forward to apply disk brake, i dont think i'll have a problem.all the kids have to do is pull stick all the way back and turn w/ t-20,I will only pull stick half way back disengaging drive band and push other stick forward to apply disk brake.the added advantage is i can start applying disk brake and disengage drive band simultaneously,i can also start applying drive bands while while smoothly releasing disk brake.brake pads are also much easier to replace and ELIMINATES braking force on drive chains AND t-20!!!!!

re wrote last post makes more sense now, musta had one too many....lol also when i said it would be like argo handlebar setup all i meant was simply one hand forward other hand back. but it will also turn like an argo in that i too will be using smooth, strong, hydraulic disk brakes!!

progress has been slow, the large amount of fabrication i plan on doing prompted me to finish the addition on the back of my garage that started as a car port 6 years ago.a 12 x 21 dirty room for all grinders, buffers, welders, torches, sand blast cab, parts washer, hydrolic press, drill press, milling machine and small lathe.also used as paint room.just poured the heated floor last sat! my garage is UNWORKABLE during transition so this is why everything has been MOCK UPS SO FAR.which is good becouse I changed my mind several times AND made SEVERAL IMPROVMENTS on my designs, very easy to fix or change direction since nothing has been welded YET,only mistake so far was buying the wilwood calipers and rotors($375) as now i may be using 6 OUT BOARD DISKS(one on each wheel hub)...not a big deal as I will probably use them on my next non suspended aatv.... in the middle of all this my faithful kubota, shown here taking engine,t-20 and tub to power wash area, broke down.becouse of my recently rekindled passion for skid steers and large amount of logging for fire wood sales bis,i decided to upgrade, just put a deposit on my new machine, the ASV RC-50,only one with 15" independently suspended tracks, front and rear wheels have torsion bar suspension allowing entire track assembly to move independently, one side goes up on a rock other side stays on ground!!! also getting this grapple.....this things a monster!!!!!!test drove it today....WOW!!!!can't wait to see it with grapple attached So how does a 6,200 lb. 50 hp RC-50 stack up against a 9,300 lb. 81 hp T250 Bobcat in the snow? .. Google Image Result for http://www.mbtractor.com/bobcat-vs-asv/track.jpg ......i also have reached a MAJOR FORK in the road on sidewinder!!!!haven't decided yet but may take money i had set aside for tracks, wheel extentions, extended axle supports and brakes on inside of tub and buy 6 sets of quad upper/lower control arms, shocks,cv axles and hubs with 6 OUTBOARD DISK BRAKES to make her a 6 DISK SPRINGER!!!!!.with the OUTBOARD brakes on each wheel hub i wont need the rotors on inside of tub.....will work great with my hydraulic sticks!!!this also ELIMINATES ALL BRAKEING FORCE ON TRANS,ALL CHAINS,ALL CHAIN ADJUSTERS AND CV JOINTS!!!.....95% of the time my chain adjusters will only be "SLACK SIDE" tensioners.....even during the majority of my reverse use(backing out of garage)still very little force.stuck in the mud full power reverce is the ONLY time my chain adjusters will be "POWER SIDE PIVITS"..... HOWEVER since i will be able to go one side forward----one side reverse..(two INDEPENDANT shift levers)slowly turning around and going out the way i came is an option for me.... ALSO 3 ROTORS PER SIDE OVER SINGLE CENTER ROTOR WILL BE MUCH STRONGER AND BRAKES WILL LAST LONGER AS THEY ARE SHARING THE LOAD...looks like i can get the 12 control arms for under $600,havnt priced out the hubs, shocks and cv axles yet but i have $2000 set aside for track kit. so major decision is tracks or springer??? I think quad parts will be strong enough,TOO STRONG and you start ripping off mounting tabs or possibly bend side plate...cheap, easily replacable, energy obsorbing arms for me works better since there aren't a lot of wide open trails where i ride.....there are a lot of tree's though..sorry if i keep editing and adding stuff.... but i write off the top of my head and often think of more points i should have mentioned ...don't want to double or triple post ........alright now i'm done!!!!
