Hustler 950 engine hood fix

I had noticed that all the 950's Ive seen. The engine hood didnt sit down in the form that was made for it in the body. Looks like when they manufactured the Hustlers. When they were ready to put them on the market. They realized they messed up. But since its obvious that making money was at stake. They just let them go as they were. So I took it upon myself to fix the lid.

In the first picture. This is how mine looked. Even the
heavy mesh screen didnt follow the body contour. The 1" square tubing that had the hinges on it for the lid was mounted to the top of the opening.

Yeah seems to be a common thing with the engine /rear upper body on these. Makes ya wonder if they ran out of beer, went home for the night and just never got back to it.
