What I noticed about the Hustler was how easily a 1" high tsunami can come over the hood and soak the hell out of ya. So I'm hoping that the dashboard I'm building will curve a lot of that.

I have a shrinker / stretcher tool here that allows me to form the angle aluminum I made to the contoured surface.

Rivits were use to secure the dashboard anchor.

Red arrows point out the dashboard anchor.
Blue arrows point at the new edge cut-out of the original dashboard

Face of original dashboard is covered with aluminum.

I had doctored this picture to show off the sloped black front of the dashboard.

I followed what you did. I'm also adding a fan. 6", it's weather proof. Used to be on an oil cooler I had on my Harley. Amperage draw is 1.7amps. Im just curious as to where you hooked the wiring up at.

The bilge pump you used. Do you have to activate it? Or does it come on by it's self?

Eh. You're a customizer dude. Do something custom! Do something cRaZy that we've never seen before! Like, I dunno... Take a used "No Parking" sign that you stole from a Steely Dan concert during the Countdown to Ecstasy tour and make a heat shield out of it. Wouldn't that be way cooler?

I ran a hot wire off the solenoid battery post to a row of toggle switches for: Fan, Bilge, & Aux. Just flip each toggle to provide power to the needed item.

I was thinking the same. Just thought maybe you had yours running full time.

It's just on a switch. I don't like relying on "automatic" anything.....

                      The dashboard is finished!

Where the dash edges would come in contact with the aatv's surface. Rubber "U" channel was adhered.

Formed aluminum strips in long angles and then bent them to form 3 triangle braces. Reinforced the triangles with flat triangular shaped aluminum and riveted them together.

Thank you. the face and the top are screwed on. Just incase I add anything in the dash face making it easy to wire in there. I mainly built it after watching a bunch of youtube videos that showed how easily the water came in ones lap. If I get water over that,... I deserve it.

Most marine stores have bilge pumps that are auto and manual in one. There on auto all the time and the manual mode is operated with a switch. There easy to install and wire.

                            Tom.

Just mounted one in the bottom. I purchased it from Walmart for 18.00. Its switch operated only. I put a reinforced clear plastic hose on it.

I about finished populating the side panel. Though not pictured. the winch directional switch is being mounted to the left of the key switch. Each switch enables either the head lights, the engine compartment fan or the bilge pump.

I decided to go with a bad lands 2000LB winch that can be relocated to the front or the rear of the ATV. I had cut into the bumper and incorporated the receiver in the bumper tube. I had also added angle iron cross braces at the bumper mounting brackets to the tub.

I had also mounted an engine compartment fan in top right rear quarter.
