When did the Max use abs before switching to hdpe for their bodies? What Years was abs used?

1969 for just a couple months. The very early bottom tubs looked (shape) quite a bit different also. -

Those early T-20 transmissions in those Maxes were all the supported shaft with the "popsicle stick" style plunger actuators, compared to the newer and less precise "U" channel style.
