  • New (to me) Max.. problems in the first hour

I just picked up a 1994 model year Max.. one owner, nice shape.. took it out in the woods for 3 or 4 hours.. came home.. only have 5 wheels/tires... went back out to back track to find it.. blew 3 tires.. called it a night...100_0336.jpg
I have a lot to learn, and Ill do my research (Im a mod on a diesel truck forum so forgive my "dumb post"), but is it worth me walking miles and miles to find my wheel/tire? Average cost for a new one?

(The "hub" snaped off the axle... I think I could re-weld it.. is this common?)

    Thanks for reading!

It looks like you have 22" Goodyear Rawhide III tires on this......they're no longer made and they're a great tire, so absolutely go back and look for it because that model of tire is difficult to replace, and not cheap since everyone wants these tires. The older welded on steel plate hubs have been known to snap off. Since then Recreatives has gone with a cast hub, not a welded steel plate. And yes, your hub can be re-welded on. Welcome to 6X6World and have fun with your new Max!

X2 all the way, surely you can find a buddy with a quad(they're everywhere) who would be willing to drive you back over your route. If not, and you are a deer hunter Take a 12gage and a pocket full of buckshot and keep your eyes open for one of those Ohio MONSTER BUCKS while you walk. BTW was there a lot of beer involved... just trying to figure out how you didn't realize you were minus a tire until you got home... Probably the same way I left a brand new winch line strung out and snapped it in two as I was driving away. "what tha HECK am I hung up on?!?! while he SLAMS the throttle to it... can't nobody tell me those flat 18 hp Briggs ain't stout!

Welcome to the site, I can already see you BELONG here! I'm looking forward to hearing about more of your adventures!
