OK, so I have a 2003 Max II with an 18 HP Briggs. I have purchased some wheel spacers, and a used set of the RI tracks. I have a homemade snow plow setup on my MAX and got some real use out of it this week in northeastern Ohio. I also have an old set of tires on rims in the garage (forget the size exactly but there the proper size for putting tracks on this machine.)
Now, what are the thought's of pushing snow and generally getting around with the tracks (and no bearing cages). I have ready opinions both ways on the bearing cages for this machine using these tracks. I know there is a loss of power with the tracks and I have the 18hp Vanguard. Will it be useless with tracks? I push snow "ok" now but usually the issue is slippage with a pile in front of me.
