  • Roll Bars?

I just bought a max II this weekend and i like the look/added safety of a roll bar....heres my question...

How do these mount exactly....AND is it possible to bolt on/adapt a Max IV roll bar onto a Max II?

A factory Max II roll bar is mounted in the upper tub. A Max IV's roll cage is mounted to the side rails of the machine. It is level where the tubs meet and the tubes are basically connected to a piece of angle that bolts through the upper and lower tubs. Your Max II does not have a flat seem where the upper and lower meet. Its more of an s curve. All that being said, I would think it would be easier to build a belly band mounted Max II cage from scratch than modifying a Max IV factory cage.
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

The factory Max II rollbar goes through the upper body and attaches to the frame (the jackshaft tower of the frame to be exact). It's a good setup and it holds up well in a rollover. A friend and I rolled a Max II backwards and we and the machine were fine (just a bit shaken up). Like Drew said the Max IV frame is completely different than a Max II and it wouldn't be worth modifying it. You'd be better off just building a cage just for the Max II or finding a factory roll bar for one.
