Hey All,
OK, so after washing the Max IV this Fall, the throttle cable got a bit of water in it. I have the the cable heater, but it was taking 15-20 mins to thaw. I decided to fix it. I simply disconnected it from the throttle handle, pried up the little rubber end boot and poured in some gas line anti-freeze (99.9% Isopropyl Alcohol, Heet brand). Voila, even at 0 degrees, it is not frozen at all - no need to wait.
I had in the past removed the cable and lubed it and dried it, but it always froze again in the winter. Easy and fast fix.
