  • Max 2 winch plate

    Iam making a winch mount plate,what thickness should I use for the metal?What thickness is the factory metal used? Thanks.

    1/4 or 3/8 should do it.
    Where are you mounting it?
    Do you have a strong bumper mount or body band.
    Argos use an inner bracket to connect it to the frame.
    You want it to be solid and not pull on the body.

      I replyed to this post twice today what happend, its gone? 1/4 inch is plenty, 3/16th is what i used. hope the plans help you, there are a couple diffrent ones on richards relic page you could use, most of the measurments are the same.

        Thanks again,yes the thread disappeared,so I had to start another,the pattern you showed me just gets mounted to the front of machine with no other support,correct? Hurry and reply before the thread is taken away again! LOL

          Check out my mount.
          Its on the back and works great......no flex at all and pulls me out of the deepest mud.

                The original thread was deleted. It was in the wanted forum asking about dimensions for the Max II winch mount. Once someone posted the link to the dimensions for you and I knew you had seen it, it was no longer wanted.

                  not sure but richards shows it both ways, use the plans i showed you as the holes and sizes will be the same.
